NCR’s self-service market share in new industries beyond retail and financial

MISSISSAUGA, ON - NCR Corporation announced the appointment of Michael Taylor as the new general manager for NCR Canada’s Retail organization.

A proven, results-oriented leader, Taylor has overall sales and management responsibility for all of NCR’s retail business in Canada. His first priorities include increasing mind, market and wallet share of NCR’s core retail solutions, and growing the company’s portfolio of self-service solutions in other industry sectors such as travel, transportation, hospitality, healthcare and government.

“Michael is a dynamic and enthusiastic sales professional with a solid track record of building top-producing sales teams and delivering strong business results,” said NCR Canada President Ranji Persad. “His strategic thinking, combined with his expertise in business development, customer relationship, channel management, and implementing progressive business practices, is especially important as NCR intensifies its sales and marketing efforts in other industries beyond retail and financial.”

Taylor has more than 20 years of sales, service and management experience with large organizations such as Hewlett-Packard, AST Canada and Xerox Canada. For the past five years, Taylor successfully led the sales organization at Getronics Canada, doubling the business and organically helping to position the Canadian operation as one of the company’s top-performing divisions in the world.

He has a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, and is based in NCR Canada’s Mississauga, Ontario head office.
