Recognizing Outstanding Businesses in Cambridge

The Employment Facilitation Network of Cambridge and North Dumfries (EFN ) will be hosting the 12th Annual Employer Recognition Awards Event on Wednesday, October 18 in Cambridge. This event celebrates the outstanding employers who have provided training and employment opportunities to individuals who have either faced employment difficulties or required workplace experience.

The EFN is proud of employers who have gone above and beyond to help the people in their community obtain work experiences, training and employment opportunities. The bre akfast will be emceed for the 12 th year in a row by Cambridge Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Greg Durocher. Community members and employers will share their stories of success.

The recognition breakfast is sponsored by The Region of Waterloo, the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin, YMCA’s of Cambridge and Kitchener- Waterloo and Lutherwood (members of Ontario’s Employment and Training Network) and is hosted by the agencies that form the Employment Facilitation Network.

The Employment Facilitatio n Network of Cambridge and North Dumfries organized this event to publicly acknowledge the partnerships that the committee’s member agencies have forged with local employers and the mutually beneficial effects that have resulted from this initiative. It is important that the community know about the steps these employers have taken to assist people and the inspiration that it has brought to other employers to do the same.
