The Hour of Code

Event Teaches the Next Generation of Technology Leaders to Code in Waterloo

On Wednesday, December 6th, OpenText will host an exciting Hour of Code event to encourage youth to invest in their future, while also helping to develop a stronger culture of technology mentorship and coaching in Waterloo's Quantum Valley.

OpenText will host approximately 100 youth from the local community at its Waterloo headquarters to learn how to code. The interactive session will be conducted online and guided by OpenText developers, IT leaders and experts. The goal is to show the students the power of coding and how developing these skills can help solve problems.

OpenText Waterloo will be joining other OpenText offices around the world that have previously participated in the Hour of Code.
