Pressing Needs

Wellbeing Waterloo Region

Community wellbeing is shaped by a wide variety of conditions and systems, in which individuals and communities are born, grow, work, live, and age. Over the past two years, various government organizations, community groups, service providers and citizens have worked together to identify the most pressing needs in our region. Based on these conversations, three “big ideas” have taken shape: affordable housing, healthy children and youth and social inclusion. In order to make a transformational impact in these three areas, actions from individuals and organizations will be developed over the next several months. Visit for details. is distributed twice weekly; Tuesday and Thursday
