Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, said: “I welcome Professor Haanes as Dean of our new Global Leadership Institute, and as a new colleague of our top team. With his significant experience in business and academia, and through our work as the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation, we will reinforce our conceptual capabilities and help develop the skills required to shape global, regional and industry agendas.”

“The Global Leadership Institute provides a unique learning and development platform to enable people to work across all sectors of society to tackle some of the greatest systemic challenges facing the world today,” said Professor Haanaes.

Haanaes taught a number of programmes at IMD, including Mastering Digital Technologies, Building on Talent and Breakthrough Programme for Senior Executives, and will continue to teach select courses at IMD.
