Perimeter scoops four awards at CCAE Prix d’Excellence
Perimeter Institute made a resounding debut at the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) awards, winning two golds, a silver, and a bronze for outstanding achievements in communications, publications, and fundraising.
The Council’s annual Prix d’Excellence awards are the benchmark for achievements in educational advancement in Canada. Competing against universities and educational institutes across the country, Perimeter’s four awards put it among the top awardees at the national awards ceremony held in Halifax this week.
Perimeter was honoured in the following categories:
• Gold: Best website, for insidetheperimeter.ca
• Gold: Best advertisement or poster, for the “Forces of Nature: Great women who changed science” series of free, downloadable posters
• Silver: Best fundraising materials, for the Institute’s “Giving Tuesday” campaign focusing on Emmy Noether Visiting Researcher Sumati Surya
• Bronze: Best media relations initiative, for the “Innovation150” series of seven opinion pieces that ran across the country in conjunction with the Innovation150 tour.
Perimeter Director of Communications Colin Hunter was at the awards ceremony alongside Production Manager and Designer Liz Goheen (who created the “Forces of Nature” series with Senior Graphic Designer Gabriela Secara), and Advancement team members Shelly Steenhorst-Baker and Jacqueline Watty.
“The Perimeter team is honoured to receive such recognition, particularly because it comes from an organization that shares our vision of advancing higher education,” Hunter said.
