Terrapure completes acquisition of Envirosystems Incorporate

Terrapure significantly enhances suite of environmental and waste solutions and expands extensive national footprint

Burlington - Terrapure Environmental Ltd., one of Canada's leading providers of innovative environmental solutions, today announced it has completed its acquisition of the Canadian industrial services and waste management operations of Envirosystems Incorporated. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"This acquisition represents the combination of two Canadian leaders in environmental and industrial services," said Todd Moser, President and CEO of Terrapure. "By welcoming the Envirosystems team to Terrapure, we are creating a more comprehensive and resourceful organization to serve our blue-chip customers across the country with a broad and diverse suite of resource recovery and environmental solutions. This makes us an undisputed leader in the Canadian market."

Envirosystems specializes in providing industrial and waste management services to a broad range of industry sectors, including petrochemical/refineries, marine, mining, municipal, and pulp and paper. Envirosystems has over 1,000 employees and 25 locations across Canada to serve its diverse customer base. Like Terrapure, Envirosystems partners with customers to provide cost-effective solutions to their environmental and waste management challenges.

"There are many similarities between Terrapure and Envirosystems that make this alliance a great fit," said Moser. "The businesses of the two organizations are highly complementary and provide services to a common set of industry sectors with a shared focus on health and safety excellence, innovation and technical development, and customer service. By coming together as an even stronger Canadian-based business, Terrapure will be well positioned to provide additional value to customers in every key industry vertical, coast to coast."

Terrapure is working closely with the Envirosystems senior management team to finalize integration plans for the two organizations and is committed to ensuring a seamless transition for its customers, including the eventual re-branding of Envirosystems to Terrapure.

Envirosystems' former ownership group is retaining Envirosystems' catalyst changeout business as well as its U.S. specialty industrial services businesses which are in the process of being rebranded as Maviro. Maviro is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and has 13 locations across the United States.
