Dye & Durham acquires ESILaw, a leading practice management and accounting software solution provider to law firms

Dye & Durham announces today that it has acquired 100% of ESI Software Inc. Founded in 1983, ESILAW provides law firm practice management and financial accounting and billing tools that maximize productivity for law firms. The acquisition creates immediate synergies for both business lines by bolstering the combined product offers to an expanded customer base.

Matt Proud, Dye & Durham's CEO, comments "This is an important acquisition for Dye & Durham. ESILaw's practice management and legal accounting solutions are a clear fit within Dye & Durham's suite of Business Law and Real Estate Law solutions. The acquisition of ESILaw expands our solutions' breadth and will enhance the benefits for our customers in the legal services market."

Matt Proud further explained, "We saw the opportunity to acquire an independent industry leader with a blue chip customer base. Because these businesses tuck-in naturally, it allows for significant cross-sell opportunities, and greater workflow improvement for our existing customers."

Richard Bath, President of ESI Software Inc. said "ESILaw is a well-known and respected player in the Canadian Legal community. With Dye & Durham quickly becoming the leading technology company in the legal services industry, we are very excited to become part of the D&D team."

Richard Bath added, "The cultures of these companies are very similar: A constant focus on innovation and a commitment to exceptional customer service."
