The road to the Provincial Championships and beyond will run through Kitchener - Waterloo when more than 350 male athletes representing clubs from all over Ontario will compete at the Men’s Artis tic Gymnastics 2nd Ontario Cup being hosted by the KW Gymnastics Club, January 25-27.
Over the three-day event spectators will see competitors who are eight-years - old and up compete in six routines: floor exercises , pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and the horizontal bar . Competitors will go on to the P rovincial s to be held in Windsor April 5-7. As well members of Team Ontario will be competing this weekend as they work towards 2019 Canada Games in Red Deer Alberta, February 15 th to March 1 st 2019.
“We are excited to host this event which showcases Ontario’s best and potential Canadian stars ,” sa id Kellie Hinn ells , Executive Director of KW Gymnastics. “The next step is the P rovincials, but t here is great excitement building to th e 201 9 Canadian Championships in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics hos ted at Carleton University in Ottawa. The event will be held May 22-26 . That’s where these extraordinary competitors want to be,” s he added.
