Loloan Dining Stays Open Despite Flooding
Extends partnership to assist House of Friendship
Loloan Lobby Bar has had a rough couple of weeks. First the building’s heating system became sporadic and then Friday evening a sprinkler pipe burst flooding the bar side of the restaurant. Both disrupted the new restaurant’s operation which was named best of the year for 2018.
“We thank Fire Waterloo, Cunningham Construction and our dedication team for their quick assistance in dealing with the flood and getting to work so quickly to restore the lobby bar. The dining room is now reopened, said Paul Boehmer, owner and General Manager of both Loloan Lobby Bar and Bhīmas Warung.
Loloan Lobby Bar, featuring Indonesian cuisine recently partnered with THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener to be a drop off point for Waterloo to assist the efforts of The House of Friendship.
“In an effort to help the community we will extend our discounts to anyone bringing in men’s winter coats or gently used boots.” The program originally planned for this past weekend will now continue until March 1, 2019.
“Those living in Indonesian must deal with real floods with devastating results from time to time. The minor inconvenience of a sprinkler bursting is nothing to what thousand must endure and we are grateful for the barn raising spirit of this community”…said Boehmer
