Marketers trying to reach Gen Z need to be Global junkies

Gen Z is poised to be even more influential than Millennials but these movers and shakers may not be from America, the UK or anywhere else you’d expect them to live. Research shows that Nigeria (43 percent), the Philippines (36 percent), Pakistan (35 percent), Bangladesh (31 percent) and India (31 percent) have the highest representation of Gen Z in each country’s population. Gen Z only represents 20 percent of the US population and Canada is much less.

Why is this important?

An estimated 1.9 billion people, or 27 percent of the global population make up this demographic, which is projected to be the largest consumer demographic in history. That means marketers and business owners need to be in tune with Gen Z from a global perspective.
