Toyota Canada: New January Sales Record

Record January Sales from both the Toyota and Lexus Divisions

TORONTO - Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) starts 2007 on the hot sales pace that made 2006 a record year. Record January performance from both the Toyota and Lexus divisions mean total TCI sales reached 10,168 units, 9.3 per cent better than the record set in January of last year.

DaimlerChrysler Canada Reports January 2007 Sales

- On a roll... six consecutive months of sales increases
- Sales up 0.7 per cent versus last January
- Truck segment sales are up; cars down
- Dodge Ram, Caravan lead way

WINDSOR - DaimlerChrysler Canada on February 1, 2007, reported a total of 16,520 vehicles sold in January, including 3,640 cars and 12,880 trucks. Compared to January 2005 when 16,405 units were sold, sales for the month are up 0.7 per cent. Car sales for January decreased 15 per cent, while truck sales rose 6.3 per cent.

TORONTO - Led by strong monthly sales of Honda and Acura light-trucks, Honda Canada Inc. (HCI) reported sales of 7,133 units by its Honda and Acura divisions. The combined Honda and Acura division sales for January were up 7 per cent over last year, with Honda automobile division sales of 5,972 units up 3 per cent, and Acura division reporting a 29 per cent increase with sales of 1,161 units.
