World Bank Lifts China's 2007 Growth Forecast To 11.3 Percent

“The World Bank on Wednesday raised its economic growth forecast for China this year to 11.3 percent, while warning its growing trade surplus and inflation were the main threats to healthy growth. …Economic growth next year is expected to slow to below 11 percent, it added.

Canada's international investment position - Second quarter 2007

Canada's net external liabilities jumped during the second quarter of 2007 in the wake of a surging Canadian dollar.

The Canadian dollar value of both international assets and liabilities was down at the end of June 2007. However, the decline in international assets, which are influenced more by exchange rate movements, was almost four times the decrease in liabilities.

KITCHENER - Three children in Kitchener will now have a room of their own, thanks to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and the Region of Waterloo, and Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region. A bedroom for Esubalew Reta and one for his sisters Hiwet and Wagaye will soon be built in their new home. The Reta home is one of six townhouses being built at 170 Cherry St., Kitchener.
