Mitsubishi and McMaster University searching for Canada's Next Top Ad Exec

National contest now accepting entries at www.topadexec.com

HAMILTON - More than 160,000 business students from across Canada have the chance to play Marketing Director for Mitsubishi Motors, as Canada's Next Top Ad Exec returns as one of the richest and most rewarding competitions in the history of Canadian business schools. Developed by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, the program is now in its second year, and was a resounding success in 2006, with the top ten finalists representing seven different schools.

"The DeGroote School of Business focuses on experiential learning. Canada's Next Top Ad Exec gives students extraordinary opportunities to test out their marketing talents on a real world project that has very real rewards," says Mandeep Malik, lecturer at the DeGroote School of Business.

The competition - open to undergraduate business or commerce students and MBA candidates - will challenge participants to develop a new advertising campaign for the Mitsubishi brand with a focus on new media. Participants can enter in teams of two or individually at www.topadexec.com. Winning contestants will drive away in new Mitsubishi Lancers, while other finalists will be eligible for internship opportunities at advertising firm BBDO and the Canadian Marketing Association.

Larry Futers, the Director of National Marketing at Mitsubishi Motors, says, "Canada's Next Top Ad Exec fits with our focus of taking an innovative approach to building the Mitsubishi brand in Canada-and standing out as a company willing to push the envelope and differentiate ourselves. Our tagline is Go Far, and this competition challenges students to do just that."

Entries will be accepted until midnight on January 25, 2008. Participants can enter in teams of two, or individually. Submission to the CNTAE competition is free, via www.topadexec.com. Ten semi-finalists will be selected from the pool of entries and invited to participate in the final competition on March 25, 2008.
