Increased Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports November 2007
For the 18th consecutive month, aircraft take-offs and landings at Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations increased in year-over-year monthly comparisons. These 95 airports reported 480,451 movements in November compared with 427,798 movements at 96 airports in November 2006, an increase of 12.3% (+52,653 movements).
Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) increased by 9.3% (+27,974 movements) in November compared with November 2006.
Local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) increased by 19.3% (+24,679 movements) in November compared with November 2006.
