Why is it so tough?

Kitchener - On Tuesday, March 18, the Community Conversation Series will provide an opportunity to explore the reasons why some people have such a hard journey to economic independence.

John Stapleton, a retired 28-year civil servant of Ontario’s Ministry of Community and Social Services who worked in social assistance policy and operations will:

· deepen our understanding of how uncoordinated government programs perpetuate poverty

· help us get some ideas about how the system could be improved for a healthier society.
