Vivo and RIM Launch New GPS-Enabled BlackBerry Curve 8310 With Vivo Co-Piloto Navigation Service

The new model is the first smartphone with Vivo Co-Piloto functionality available in Brazil

San Paolo, Brazil - Vivo and Research In Motion (RIM) announced the availability of the GPS-enabled BlackBerry® Curve™ 8310 smartphone for Vivo customers in Brazil. The BlackBerry Curve 8310 is the smallest and lightest full QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone and offers customers premium phone features as well as access to email, messaging (SMS, MMS, IM), organizer and Internet applications. It also features rich multimedia capabilities including a 2 megapixel camera, media player and expandable memory slot and can be used with a wide range of other business and lifestyle applications. It also comes with built-in GPS and “Vivo Co-Piloto”, a robust navigation application powered by Vivo's wireless service that provides navigational information for more than 150 cities in Brazil. Available from Vivo’s dealers and retail stores throughout Brazil, the new BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone is offered at prices starting from R$ 399,00, with a post paid Vivo Escolha 650 plan and BlackBerry® Internet Service unlimited data plan.
