Retirement
Retire to Something . . . Not From Something!
Waterloo - This statement succinctly describes the “new retirement.” Retirement today is about deciding what you want to do in the future and what kind of life you want. Although we all know that money is a key issue, it is only one of a number of factors that will determine your degree of life satisfaction in retirement. Come join us to learn about the concept of lifestyle transition planning for retirement and why you need to know what you want to do in the future before you can know how much is enough.
Guest Speaker: Av Lieberman, PRP, The Retirement Education Centre Inc.
Previously, Mr. Lieberman was in the life insurance industry for 28 years and steadily progressed “up the ladder” to senior positions with national responsibility for sales, marketing and distribution. At 50 years of age he was “reorganized” out of his position.
Mr. Lieberman had no exit strategy, no vision of what he wanted to do in the future. He spent two agonizing years trying to figure out in what direction to take his life. Over time it became clear to him that he was not alone and there were thousands of people struggling with similar issuespeople who needed a process to help them make decisions about their future. In 1996 Mr. Lieberman founded
The Retirement Education Centre Inc. (RECI) and with the help of some very bright people began to develop a program of life management which combines lifestyle transition planning and retirement education into a truly unique package.
