Real Estate Investors

Institutional Investor News is proud to announce the winners of the 2008 20 Rising Stars of Real Estate.

Globe - In selecting finalists for our third edition, we tried to be representative of the commercial real estate market's diversity. As you will see, this year's 20 Rising Stars of Real Estate represent a mix of industry players, including six lenders, three investment bankers, two investment managers, two developers, two property investors, two property brokers, two lawyers and a consultant. The scope of their focus is equally as diverse, as they have worked on deals ranging in size from $500,000 loans for small projects to billion-dollar developments.

They include:

--Gregory Belew, founding partner of Fifth Square Partners in New York

--Michael Hamilton, partner at DLA Piper in Los Angeles

--Cheryl Higley, director of RBC Streamline at RBC Capital Markets in Dallas

--Roy Chung Yee Ling, v.p. of real estate investment banking at JPMorgan in Singapore

--Thibault de Valence, executive managing director at CB Richard Ellis Investors in Paris

The 20 Rising Stars of Real Estate will be honored, along with nominees and winners of Real Estate Finance & Investment's Third Annual EPIC Awards, at a dinner and ceremony in New York City in June 2008.

Selecting the final 20 Rising Stars was a difficult task, as many outstanding individuals were nominated. We would like to thank the nominees and those who nominated them for making this list possible, and we look forward to charting the professional progress of our Rising Stars in the years to come.
