2008 Manulife Bike & Hike for Heart Launch Event Today
Waterloo - Dr. Marla Shapiro, author, columnist, CTV’s Canada AM Medical Contributor and Honorary Chair of the 2008 Manulife Bike & Hike for Heart; Paul Rooney, President and CEO, Manulife Canada will be launching the 16th annual Manulife Bike & Hike for Heart.
Thiscommunity event brings together more than 1,200 enthusiastic cyclists and walkers, plus hundreds of volunteers to raise money in support of St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre.
Since 2000, all donations have supported the St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre in Kitchener. Beginning in 1993, this event has raised more than $2.5 million for heart health in Waterloo Region.
