New CEO Predicts Growth beyond Marketing Services
McKinsey Consultant Charts Strategy to Take Automatic Prediction to
Financial Services, Web 2.0, Disease Management
TORONTO - Generation5's new CEO, David P. Freese arrives with a strategy to take Generation5's innovative prediction technology into adjacent markets. Through a decade's investment in research and development, Generation5 mathematicians have perfected a unique, automatic approach to customer predictions that is dramatically faster and more accurate than traditional predictive analytics. With this new strategy, the company will fully commercialize the intrinsic value of its intellectual property.
Freese comes to Generation5 with a proven track record in high-tech P&L
improvement, growth strategy creation and business development. As
Vice?President and General Manager of Siebel Global Services' Financial
Services business unit, he grew revenue by over 100% in two years. Freese has
a deep background in strategy and financial services consulting gained from
leading firms including McKinsey and Andersen Consulting. He earned his M.B.A
from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from
University of Illinois-Urbana.
"At Siebel, we saw leading marketers spending tens of millions of dollars
on predictive analytics with limited success," commented Freese.
"Generation5's prediction technology will change the game," predicts Freese.
"The speed and accuracy with which Generation5 can generate Customer
Predictions from very large and complex data sets will fundamentally change
how organizations tackle issues like risk management or behavioural
targeting." In addition to heading Generation5's operations and business
development, Freese will be charged with sourcing additional financing for
this expansion from the venture capital market and other sources.
Generation5 developed its core prediction technology to help leading
banks, retailers and manufacturers deliver more targeted marketing through
more precise consumer geo-demographics. With this new strategy, Freese sees
Generation5 applying customer predictions to other adjacent applications in
addition to marketing. Other applications where Generation5's predictive power
creates tremendous business value include risk management, Internet
behavioural targeted advertisements, and healthcare disease management.
"We're very excited to have David on-board," said Generation5 founder and
Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Milorad Krneta. "He has great experience helping
advanced technology reach its market potential. Our customers tell us they are
using Generation5 only for a fraction of what they could be. With David's help
our customers will see the benefits of automatic prediction for applications
beyond targeted marketing."
Freese succeeds Joe Nicholson who is stepping down as CEO of Generation5
to pursue other opportunities in the United States.
