Diversity Employers Recognition

Intuit Canada named one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers

Employee-driven programs encourage inclusiveness

EDMONTON - As a recognized employer of choice in Canada, Intuit Canada believes that in order exceed their customers' needs they must build an environment where diversity of thought fuels innovation. The premier innovative growth company casts wide nets to find the best people with the best skills to hire and then supports their employees well being through exceptional programs. The result of this dedication was acknowledged with the company being named as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers for 2008.

"Diversity is central to the Canadian mosaic and Intuit's culture," says Yves Millette, President & CEO, Intuit Canada. "We want our employees to bring their whole self to work, to grow both professionally and personally, and to learn from each other along the way. Our diversity programs are employee-driven, are fully supported by the executive, and transform our workplace into a vibrant community where people are valued for everything they do and everything they can be."

Some of the exceptional programs that Intuit Canada offers that encourage workplace inclusiveness and diversity include a Women's Network for women in business and the software industry and the Pride Network for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees, their families, friends, and supporters.

Last year, Intuit Canada earned several other prestigious workplace awards including one of Alberta's Most Respected Corporations by Alberta Venture magazine, the Volunteer Award of Excellence from the Wild Rose Foundation, and was named one the top 50 Employers in Canada by Hewitt Associates.

The editors of Mediacorp Canada Inc., which manages the annual Canada's Top 100 Employers competition, selected winners. An executive-level reception honouring Intuit Canada and the other winners will take place on May 22, 2008, at the executive offices of Bank of Montreal, the lead sponsor for this year's competition.
