Coldwell Banker’s Peter Benninger Attended International Brokers Forum in Orlando, Florida

Event Highlighted International Interest in Florida Property

Kitchener – Coldwell Banker’s Peter Benninger attended an international broker’s forum at the company’s annual business conference held at the Gaylord Palms Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The event was hosted by Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Florida’s largest real estate brokerage company and was attended by over 50 brokers and agents from Coldwell Banker’s international affiliates from around the world.

“Foreign home buyers have been flocking to the U.S. real estate market for many reasons: mortgage interest rates are low, the favorable exchange rate of the Euro and Canadian Dollar enables many to ‘buy more for their money’ here, the U.S. is politically stable, airfares are affordable, and baby-boomers want to maximize their return on investment properties,” said event host, Clark W. Toole III, President and Chief Operating Office, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Florida.

Based on National Association of Realtor statistics, Florida leads the nation in attracting international homebuyers with 26% of all foreign home sales. International buyers currently account for 15% of total home sales statewide. According to Peter Benninger, President, Coldwell Banker Peter Benninger Realty “By developing personal relationships with our leading Florida affiliate, we will be better positioned to assist our clients to take advantage of the exceptional values that exist in Florida.”

“Thanks in part to the US housing slump but also due to our strong dollar, many Canadians are looking to jump on the chance to buy that second home they’ve always dreamed of”, continued Peter Benninger, “Whether its Florida or Arizona that you’re seeking, there are certainly some great deals to be had, but as a foreign purchaser it is especially important that you work with a trusted real estate professional. It’s a different market down there from what people are used to here, and you want to be sure you are getting the right advice.”

“Because Coldwell Banker is one of the most highly-recognized real estate brands, we are uniquely positioned to maximize the power of our network to market our homes to the world. Homebuyers in any of the 47 countries where Coldwell Banker has established relationships for over 100 years, are familiar with our reputation for real estate excellence.” said Peter Benninger.

There are currently over 375,000 homes for sale in the major Florida markets served by Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.
