A Speedy Minute Aquisition
Speedy Corporation acquires Minute Muffler chain 91-store automotive repair chain acquired
TORONTO - Speedy Corporation announced the strategic acquisition of the brand and assets of Alberta-based Minute Muffler group - a chain of while-you-wait muffler and automotive repair shops located across Canada, operating under the name Minute Muffler. Speedy Corporation, owner and operator of the Speedy Auto Service franchise network, has purchased all 91 Minute Muffler franchises, and will operate the company under the new name Minute Corporation.
"The strategic acquisition of the Minute Muffler franchise system by the
Speedy Corporation represents a significant step forward for both brands
within the Canadian automotive repair landscape," said Steven Goldman,
president, Speedy Corporation. "By creating a combined network of 156
automotive repair shops, both entities will enjoy a strengthened level of
buying power and market reach in an industry where size has a dramatic
influence on success."
Speedy is one of Canada's premier while-you-wait automobile repair
specialists and has a national network of 65 locations from coast-to-coast.
Speedy Corporation's expert management team will continue to focus on superior
customer service and the development of processes and strategies to enable
sustainable and profitable growth.

Minute Corporation will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Speedy
Corporation.
