National Quality Institute's Order of Excellence Trophy Coming to Delta Chelsea Hotel

TORONTO - Delta Hotels has been awarded the prestigious Order of Excellence, the highest distinction conferred by Canada's National Quality Institute (NQI) in its Canada Awards for Excellence program. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in the areas of quality, customer service and a healthy workplace. On April 24, the Delta Chelsea, Delta Hotels' flagship property in downtown Toronto, will be showcasing this prestigious award at a Town Hall Celebration, which brings together all Delta Chelsea employees.

"True success is accomplished by a strong and dedicated team, and through the hard work and dedication from each and every member of the Delta Chelsea family we have succeeded in providing an outstanding environment for our guests and employees. I would like to take the opportunity to extend my gratitude for their commitment to this goal", says Josef Ebner, Regional Vice-President and Managing Director, Delta Chelsea Hotel.

The Order of Excellence builds upon successes previously recognized by NQI with "Gold" awards: the first given in 2000, for quality, and the other, in 2004, for a healthy workplace. The Order of excellence underscores the company's sustained focus on excellence over the long term.

The Delta Chelsea began focusing on organizational excellence in 1996 by strategically applying a continuous quality approach that focuses on six key "drivers" - leadership, planning, process management, partnerships, customer and people focus- to influence overall business performance.
