Search Me! Roving Eyeball
The Google-opoly on search continues, as Nielsen Online announces that March 2008 year-over-year growth in the number of searches at the Big G grew 25.5%, giving Google a 58.7% share of online searches. After some recent contraction, Microsoft is bouncing back with 36.6% growth. But the continuing decline in Yahoo and AOL's power as search gateways continues. The question now for the industry is whether anyone but Microsoft really has the money, will and delusional ambition to challenge Google on search.
