Second Annual Ride the United Way Motorcycle Poker Run

The United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton is excited to announce the Second Annual Ride the United Way Poker Run.

Burlington/Hamilton - On September 13, 2008, hundreds of riders from all walks of life, riding all types of motorcycles will be getting together in support of the United Way. Riders and their passengers will set out on a breathtaking tour of Hamilton and Burlington_s most scenic areas. Starting at the Stoney Creek Dairy Bar, the 150 km route includes a panoramic view of the city along the escarpment and winds its way through the hills and curves of Binbrook, Flamborough and Dundas Valley.

Riders will make three stops along the way, where they will receive their poker cards. Once they get to the end of the ride, at the United Way Kickoff Event on Brant Street in Burlington, the best and worst poker hands will be rewarded with some fantastic prizes.

Registration fees are $25 for riders, which will be waived with $100 or more in pledges, and $15 for passengers which will also be waived with pledges totalling at least $100. All proceeds go directly to the United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton.
