Chrysler Canada Inc. Statement in Response to Recent Developments with the Detroit River International Crossing (DRIC) Project

WINDSOR - Attributed to Reid Bigland, President and CEO - Chrysler Canada

For many years, Chrysler has been a leading supporter of the Detroit River International Crossing. We welcome today's announcement and the progress being made toward a new international gateway.

This crossing is critical to the entire region, especially for major manufacturers such as Chrysler, whose operations are dependent upon a reliable and efficient infrastructure for trade between Canada and the U.S. for their success.

The Windsor-Essex Parkway, presented by the DRIC study team, was designed in consultation with government and community stakeholders and involves complex technical and social factors. Continued stakeholder consultation will make a positive contribution toward the completion of the Windsor-Essex Parkway within the 2013 timetable.
