Fly Lufthansa Through Dusseldorf Boutique Style Hub

A Convenient Alternative to Busy International Airports

TORONTO - Travelling to Europe just got easier for Ontarians looking to escape the hustle and bustle of larger airports. Lufthansa is now offering six daily non-stop flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport to Dusseldorf - a convenient boutique hub with connections to over 50?destinations across Europe and beyond. Lufthansa is also offering First Class amenities and services for those looking for a more luxurious way of travelling.

"Dusseldorf offers an escape from the pressures of many of the larger European airports. It's a smaller, faster, less complex boutique style of travelling," said Jens Bischof, Lufthansa's Vice President, The Americas. "The new route and First Class service will allow Canadians to easily connect to hundreds of flights operated by Lufthansa and its airline partners with access to a worldwide network." The new three-cabin route makes another 1200 seats of aircraft space available to passengers between Toronto and continental Europe weekly.

Lloyd McCoomb, President and CEO of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority said "the addition of this new route is wonderful news for passengers. Lufthansa continues to show that they are dedicated to connecting great cities around the world."

Lufthansa's new Toronto to Dusseldorf flights were launched in response to clear customer demand for high quality service. With an abundance of both First Class, Business and Economy seats, the new direct flights are designed to meet the needs of any traveller flying with Lufthansa, but the emphasis is on their luxury services. In addition to their premium in-air services, First Class and Business customers can enjoy Dusseldorf's two luxurious new lounges, extending over 2,000 square metres.

Passengers on the newly launched direct flights will be flying in 221-seat Airbus A340-300s, with premium services and amenities. With six weekly direct non-stop flights commencing May 1, Dusseldorf passengers can connect to Lufthansa's worldwide network. Lufthansa has worked closely with airport authorities to ensure efficient on the ground service and short connection times. With convenient departure, arrival and transit times, all of Lufthansa's customers get to enjoy a taste of travelling First Class.
