The Teamsters Union and Purolator Convened to a Conciliation Meeting

LAVAL, QUEBEC- - Jean-Pierre Blackburn, federal Minister of Labour, convened Purolator management and the Teamsters Union's negotiators to a meeting in presence of a Mediator yesterday at 4pm.

Purolator employees have rejected by a margin of 51% the tentative agreement reached by the parties at the end of March 2008.

The Teamsters union represents Purolator's 10 000 employees throughout the country. "We hope that this meeting will manage to break the deadlock," explains Robert Bouvier, President of Teamsters Canada.
