Canada's Wonderland Opens its Doors for a Behemoth-sized Season

VAUGHAN - The summer is fast approaching and Canada's Wonderland is ready to open its doors for a 28th season of thrills and excitement. The Park features over 200 attractions, 66 rides, great live shows, and a 20-acre water park - Splashworks. Canada's Wonderland also boasts one of North America's greatest varieties of roller coasters, including the Park's newest addition: Behemoth.

Canada's Wonderland changes the landscape for thrill seekers this season with Behemoth - Canada's biggest, fastest and tallest roller coaster. At over 5,300 feet (1,616m) in length, Behemoth sets the stage for thrills with a climb to a height of 230 feet (70.1m), followed by an adrenaline pumping 75 degree drop with speeds reaching 125 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds. The Park's 15th roller coaster, which features prototype open-air seating, takes riders on the ultimate coaster experience with high speed twists and turns making Behemoth one of North America's best coaster experiences.

Behemoth isn't the only thing that will excite guests this season; Canada's Wonderland's entertainment line-up will delight with thrills and chills of a different kind. Dance to the Music, located in International Showplace, features an ensemble of singers and dancers that revive favourites by artists like Elvis, Elton John and the Beatles taking guests back to the time of peace and love, flower power and rock and roll! In the Wonderland Theatre, following a successful run in 2007, the Park's ice show Endless Summer will return to pay tribute to the ultimate summertime experience with top skating talent from across Canada.

Kids of all ages will love Dora's Sing-Along Adventure, which takes place in the Playhouse Theatre in Nickelodeon Central. Dora, Boots and their friends Disco Star and Big Red Chicken star in a musical adventure based on the popular Nickelodeon show, Dora the Explorer. In the Action Theatre, SpongeBob SquarePants in 3D will showcase SpongeBob SquarePants as he rides a bubble bicycle in pursuit of a runaway pickle required to serve the perfect Krabby Patty hamburger. Get ready for a hilarious and zany adventure as SpongeBob weaves through traffic in Bikini Bottom and chases a robotic double of his best friend Patrick through Rock Bottom.

Don't forget, families can take pictures and get hugs from their favourite Nickelodeon characters in Nickelodeon Central. Dora the Explorer, Diego, Pablo and Tyrone from the Backyardigans, Little Bill, Blue's Clues, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Chuckie, Jimmy Neutron and Eliza appear all season long from 9:30am until 6:00pm daily.
