May 2008 Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Star Recipient - Bill Green
The Volunteer Member Services Committee is pleased to announce that Bill Green, President of GSP Group Inc., has been awarded the May 2008 Chamber Star.

A member since 1995, Mr. Green started volunteering at the Chamber three years ago when he assumed the role of Vice Chair for the Chamber’s Regional and Municipal Affairs Committee (RMAC). Members on RMAC work to positively influence changes that impact KW’s business community from infrastructure and development to economic opportunities and quality of life. The committee also monitors municipal and regional government initiatives of interest to members, and formulates responses to governments on behalf of the Chamber.
“Meeting new people, maintaining business contacts and keeping up with current issues are some of the benefits I have experienced through volunteering at the Chamber,” says Mr.Green who, in addition to his role on RMAC, is the Chamber’s representative on the City of Waterloo Economic Development Advisory Committee. Outside of the Chamber, he is a member of the Kitchener-Westmount Rotary Club and the Holy Saviour Anglican Church.
When asked what he thought of being awarded the inaugural Chamber Star recognition, Mr. Green responded, “It is nice to be recognized for your efforts when so many people are contributing to the success of the Chamber.”
