Waterloo Landlords invited to Information Session
Waterloo Landlords in the City of Waterloo are being offered an opportunity to brush-up on government legislation and other important information that affects their business and tenants.
In Waterloo, student housing continues to be an important consideration for students, landlords and permanent residents, alike. Explains Kaye Crawford, Manager, Community Relations, “It’s critical that we have landlords who are knowledgeable. We hope this information session provides an opportunity for our Waterloo landlords to learn more about the rules and standards that are in place to ensure the safety of their tenants.”
On Thursday June 12 in the Hauser Haus at the Waterloo Recreation Complex from 7-9pm, representatives from Waterloo Fire and Police Services, City officials, the Waterloo Region Community Legal Service, will join representatives from off-campus housing services from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University in providing informative presentations and answering landlord questions.
"Providing local landlords with information to be better informed in their business is the win-win outcome of an event like the Landlord Information Session," said Crawford.
Doors open and refreshments will be served at 6:30pm.
