SkyPower Expands Development Operations in the United States
TORONTO - SkyPower, a Lehman Brothers Company, is expanding its operations in the United States as part of a strategy to continue growing its portfolio of renewable energy projects. The company is establishing offices in Omaha, Nebraska, from which it will explore new renewable energy opportunities to serve select States and communities.
SkyPower's U.S. operations will focus on solar thermal, solar
photovoltaic and wind energy projects. The company is exploring strategic
options to partner with developers; corporations; Federal, State and local
governments; and communities to implement innovative renewable energy
solutions.
The company has named Daniel Walter as Director of Strategic U.S.
Relationships and Partnerships. He will be based out of SkyPower's new Omaha
offices, and will work closely with local stakeholders in order to meet
increasing demands for clean, renewable energy. Walter will also be
responsible for establishing key strategic relationships and partnerships, and
overseeing development opportunities in other satellite facilities across the
U.S.

Walter has more than 20 years of experience holding senior executive management roles and has structured numerous transactions with Fortune 500?companies. He has built key partnerships and joint ventures that have generated more than $1.5 billion in global sales revenues, and has significant experience in U.S. real estate development and business process outsourcing.
