TORONTO, Ont. — The 2008 Awards of Excellence, recognizing Ontario's finest landscape construction, maintenance and design projects, were announced in a recent ceremony attended by 500 industry leaders. The Awards of Excellence program is an initiative of Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association (LO), and the event was held in conjunction with its Congress trade show.

"Seeing the winners impresses me more every year," said garden celebrity Denis Flanagan, Landscape Ontario manager of membership services. "Award-winning projects consistently show outstanding design sophistication and horticultural knowledge. To back it all up, these companies are leaders in areas ranging from safety to new technology."

Teams of respected horticulture industry experts judge the entries every year. Only those entries deemed truly excellent are honoured with Awards.

One company that has worked hard to be deemed truly excellent enough to win an award is Earthscape Ontario. Earthscape Ontario won the award for Private Residential Design for 5000 square feet or more with their hard work on the Dziak Residence. Earthscape also won the website design award in the Landscape Construction Category.
