Sapphire Technologies Canada Limited, Named one of the countries Top 25 Best Small and Medium Employers

Staffing company continues its record-of-excellence, holding top ten positions four years running!

Toronto – Sapphire Technologies Canada Limited, formerly CNC Global Limited, is pleased to be named among the Top 25 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada. This marks the fourth consecutive year that CNC has ranked within the top ten.

“We are excited about our standing in the results of this study, and very proud that this is the fourth consecutive year we’ve been named in the top 10,” said Terry Power, Sapphire Canada’s President and COO. “The results of this study are confirmation that we’re on the right track, making sure our employees know they are valued. We work hard to attract and retain top talent – it makes good business sense and it’s the right thing to do.”

Sapphire Canada is the only staffing company to make the list of the top 25 BSME. The company responds to the changing Canadian economic landscape by delivering complete staffing solutions in response to clients’ national or global needs.

“The effectiveness of our efforts to keep our employees engaged is seen in the tenure and low churn we experience in relation to other companies in our space,” said Leandra Lackie, Sapphire Canada’s Vice President, HR. “We’re committed to community involvement, to providing employees with opportunities for advancement, to supporting them with competitive benefits packages – all the things that attract potential employees to us and make them want to stay.

Becoming a Top Best Small and Medium Employer is a detailed and competitive process. This national awards program recognizes top employers with between 50 and 400 employees. This study mirrors the renowned Best Employer in Canada initiative run by partner, Hewitt Associates; however, caters to smaller businesses.

The rankings are primarily determined using the results from Employee Opinion Surveys. The evaluation process also includes the assessment of organization practices and perspectives from the leadership team. This year, more than 150 companies across Canada registered to participate in the study.

Study partners include Queen's School of Business, Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing and Hewitt Associates. More information about the Best Small & Medium Employers in Canada is available online at http://business.queensu.ca/qcbv/sme.
