BC Chapter of American Marketing Association names Rosa Marinelli as President

VANCOUVER - The BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA) has named Rosa Marinelli as President for 2008 and 2009. Marinelli will lead one of the most highly regarded chapters in North America which is comprised of over 500 members and over 3000 BC marketing, advertising, and communications professionals. The strength of the association has always relied on its dedicated leaders and Marinelli, who has served over four years on the board, now has the unique opportunity to lead and educate members to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

"It is a great honour to serve as President of such a prestigious organization" says Rosa Marinelli, President of the BCAMA, "I am excited to contribute to the continued growth and education of the BC marketing community."

With over ten years of marketing experience, Marinelli is currently the Marketing Manager for Panago Pizza delivering on numerous marketing initiatives including product and pricing development, local promotions and community involvement management, and national promotional campaign management.

Prior to that, Marinelli was employed at Tourism Vancouver in Corporate Sponsorships. In this role, she ensured the successful delivery of long-term strategic alliances with corporate partners through development and implementation of activation programs and integration of sponsors into organizational sales and marketing activities both trade and consumer targeted. She was also the Marketing Manager of Kester Grant College, sister college of the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Rosa's international marketing experience extends to Asia and Europe, and includes work with organizations such as Vancity, Sar Transit, Overwaitea Foods, Visa International and many others.

The BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (www.bcama.com) has been the province's leading marketing source since 1955. With approximately 500 members, the BCAMA is a non-profit association made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers including Board Members, Committee Members and Sponsors.
