Plant Trees to Fight Climate Change

Fergus tree planting workshop to help local residents reduce property taxes and help fight climate change

Fergus - Trees Ontario and its partners, the Ontario Forestry Association (OFA), Grand River Conservation Authority, Wellington County Stewardship Council, Green Legacy Tree Nursery, and Wellington County Museum and Archives, will host a free workshop focused on incentive programs for planting trees, tree planting techniques and the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program (MFTIP) which can reduce property taxes by up to 75%. The workshop will be held at Aboyne Hall on Thursday, January 31, from 7 - 9 p.m.

This workshop is an opportunity for local landowners to learn how they can receive financial incentives to plant trees on their property and reduce their environmental footprint.
