Heritage Day @ St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres St. Francis Campus

Kitchener – Thursday, February 21, 2008 is Heritage Day at the St. Francis 154 Gatewood Drive, Kitchener campus of the St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres.

The third annual St. Francis Heritage Day is like a multicultural open house. It is an opportunity for ESL adult students to show how proud they are of their culture, heritage, history and traditions. Students are encouraged to speak English to describe their country and to remember their roots.

It is a quick world tour as visitors explore the currency, dress, food, sports and symbols of more than 20 countries.

The St. Louis ESL program and celebrations such as Heritage Day are fine examples of the school’s commitment to providing quality, inclusive, adult learning experiences for people of all faiths and cultures.

The St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre currently serve more than 1,000 adult ESL learners at five locations across Waterloo Region.
