Workers picket County of Oxford Courthouse
WOODSTOCK - Workers from Woodingford Lodge represented by CAW Local 636 are picketing the County of Oxford Courthouse in protest against the major concessions demanded by the county at the nursing homes.
Courthouse Picket: Today at 8:30 a.m. at the New County Building in
Woodstock -415 Hunter Street
CAW Local 636 represents over 220 workers employed at the three
Woodingford Lodge nursing home sites in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.
CAW Local 636 and the County of Oxford have been in contract negotiations
for over a year. These talks have broken down over the County's insistence to
bargain major concessions for these workers.
In no way will this picket affect the welfare of the residents.
