Biorem opens office in Beijing China

GUELPH - BIOREM Inc. announced that it has established a Representative Office in Beijing, China. The office has been operational since December 5, 2008 with Biorem staff setting up the sales representative and supplier networks.

"Our Biorem Beijing office will liaise with our representative network within the country to offer biological air pollution control systems that will compete with the older, inefficient and energy intensive technologies currently being used." said Peter Bruijns, President and CEO.

Biorem has five projects under construction in China of which four were won in 2008. China has long had in place environmental regulations which are now being increasingly enforced in markets where Biorem's technologies are well suited to compete. In addition to the commitment of China to improve its air quality the country is also completing construction of 40 Waste Water Treatment Plants per month over the next two years yielding many commercial opportunities for Biorem.

The Company hosted a signing ceremony at its Chaoyang District offices on February 16, 2009 with representatives from the Canadian Government and Chinese authorities. The ceremony formalized sales representative contracts with eleven organizations across the country.

The addition of the China office complements Biorem's internal growth strategy and supports the corporate mission to become the world's leading clean technology air pollution control company.
