Leading Toronto Software Firm Aids Health Administration Program
Kitchener - P&P Data Systems of Toronto is a leader in software systems and
services for the health care field, aiding physicians and health
institutions in their quest for speed and efficiency in handling client
needs.
Moshe Pinhas, founder and president of the company, visited Conestoga
College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning on March 17 to
address students in the Health Office Administration program and to
announce a donation to the program valued at $167,000.
The Clinic Information System (CIS) software is a highly developed and
sophisticated product of P&P Data Systems. Its capabilities in
automating patient records result in better patient care management and
improved decision-making, as well as streamlined integration of many
processes associated with patient care, such as registration and
scheduling. The end result is a more efficient and responsive business
operation for patients and service providers.
The donation to Conestoga is a CIS software licence that will allow
program students to develop knowledge and practical skills in the field
of medical records administration.
The core part of CIS includes hundreds and hundreds of features to help
in managing health care business operations. CIS provides a reporting
system that has a comprehensive set of analyses and financial reports
plus providing the most powerful report generators available in the
industry.
Health Office Administration is a two-year diploma-level program at
Conestoga. Students gain valuable practical skills in business areas
such as bookkeeping, communications, computer applications, office
administration, ethics and integrated office management in the context
of specialized settings medical, dental, clinical and
hospital-related. They also gain knowledge in areas such as anatomy and
physiology, health care delivery systems and health care terminology.
Graduates find employment in the offices of health care professionals,
as well as in hospitals, clinics, community service agencies and
insurance companies. The most recent Conestoga employment report shows a
100 per cent success rate for graduates of Health Office Administration.
