Access Waterloo Region -- Info Evening For People With Disabilities
Waterloo Region, ON Access Waterloo Region is an information fair for people with disabilities and their families, a resource booklet, and now a dynamic and regularly updated website.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2009 families will be able to speak with agencies about programs and supports, find out about recreation and summer activities and see the new website accesswaterlooregion.ca in action. The website provides information about programs, an updated community calendar, and an activity search.
People with disabilities and their families face numerous daily challenges. There are many programs and services in Waterloo Region that offer support, but gaining access to them can also be a challenge. For several years the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, the Waterloo Regional District School Board and several community partners have teamed up to provide Access Waterloo Region.
Over the years this partnership has been successful in bringing a variety of community programs and services into a central location making it easier to access valuable resources.
