Support the Grand River Hospital and the Dan Snyder Arena through our Dragon Boating Project.

Waterloo Region - It’s time for the Kiwanis Dragon Boat Festival of Waterloo Region again on Saturday, July 18th, 2009.

We are looking for your support in any way you can to:

(a) sponsor a team,

(b) make a donation towards any of the three very worthwhile projects,

(c) or advertising on our website or in our Race Program handout.

Support the Child Services program at Grand River Hospital. This project has raised more than $160,000 over the past 10 years to purchase new equipment.

Support our new project, Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry, at Grand River Hospital which needs more room and more funding to handle the need.

Support our new Woolwich Arena in Elmira, The Dan Snyder Arena, that needs to meet the communities donation target of 5.6 million.

Make cheques payable to our Registered Charity “The Elmira Kiwanis Club Trust” (Charity #890627540RR0001). Mail to Mr. Jamie Meek, c/o Kiwanis Club of Elmira, Box 171, Elmira, ON N3B 2Z6. Receipts will be issued automatically for donations of $20 or more.

To get into the FUN of the event enter a Dragon Boat Team. This is a great team building process that your staff and their families will enjoy while getting involved in a Fund Raising event. See the “Sign-Up” sheet file and a “Poster” (legal size paper) file for your meeting/bulletin board to help you with recruitment of your team along with a “Registration Package”.

Complete the first page of the enclosed Registration application and send it along with your $200 deposit to Mr. Jamie Meek, c/o Kiwanis Club of Elmira, Box 171, Elmira, ON N3B 2Z6 to reserve your place in this FUN event. The team list and the waivers can be delivered to us at your first Dragon Boat practice.

If you are a local team you can also get involved in a great pledge program for a great cause! It’s simple, it’s fun! The pledge forms are part of the Registration Package and get your family and friends involved as well.

Proceeds go to the Grand River Hospital, or the new Woolwich “Dan Snyder” Recreation Centre. Your Choice! Raise funds for one or all three of these very worthwhile projects. Support your Community! You can also earn back your Registration Fee (up to $875) by collecting $2500 or more in pledges!
