BMO Capital Markets Makes Key Hire in Leveraged Finance
Senior Investment Banker Eric Luftig joins New York City Office
NEW YORK - BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group, announced yesterday that it has hired senior investment banker Eric Luftig as Managing Director in its Leveraged Finance group. Mr. Luftig will be based in the firm's New York City office and is responsible for debt and equity private placements.
"Eric's experience in private placements, including 20 years of solid
deals, complements our team's overall mandate as we look to broaden our lead
role participation in the leveraged financing arena. We are very pleased to
have Eric join our team," said Jim Moglia, Executive Managing Director and
Co-Head of the BMO Capital Markets Leveraged Finance group.
Mr. Luftig's investment banking experience over the last two decades
includes senior roles at GE Capital Markets and CIBC World Markets in the
field of private finance. He holds both an MBA and an undergraduate degree
from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
The Leveraged Finance group consolidates BMO's leveraged loan and high
yield bond expertise to ensure that clients are efficiently provided with
comprehensive market-relevant debt solutions. Working closely with our
Financial Sponsors and Debt Capital Markets teams, the Leveraged Finance group
has the depth and breadth of experience to originate both publicly and
privately offered debt securities for corporate and government issuers.
