April 2009 Car Sales
Breaking April sales records is Kia's Forte
MISSISSAUGA - Kia Canada retailed 4,276 vehicles this
April, up 15 percent from the same month last year, to record the best sales
month in the company's ten year history in Canada. On a year-to-date basis,
Kia Canada's sales are 9 percent higher than 2008 sales through April.
The award winning Kia Soul continues to delight customers and accounted
for 1,017 units in April, in only its second month of retail sales. "Kia
Canada is clearly changing people's perceptions because of our new design
direction," said Shelley Tavener, Public Relations Manager at Kia Canada. "Our
award winning Soul and recently launched Forte are delivering something new,
intriguing and relevant to today's buyers - distinctive design combined with
quality and value for the money."
Other Highlights:
The Kia Integrity Advantage Program, which was launched last month,
continues to generate significant consumer interest and traffic to Kia
showrooms. The Program provides customers with peace of mind to purchase a
vehicle in these uncertain times, by enabling them to return their financed or
leased vehicles within the first year of ownership in the event of certain
unforeseen life circumstances.
