CAW President Calls for Pension Security for Air Canada Workers

TORONTO - CAW President Ken Lewenza is demanding that Air Canada remove workers' pensions from the chopping block as part of its plan to turn around the airline at a press conference this morning - Monday, May 4. The CAW will be launching its fight back campaign at Air Canada today, including a five point plan to turn around the troubled national carrier. CAW Local 2002 represents approximately 4,500 members employed by Air Canada whose collective agreement expires at the end of this month.
