Rogers Media launches 680News Blackberry application

TORONTO - Rogers Media launched the first Canadian all news radio Blackberry(TM) application offering up-to-the-minute news headlines, five-day weather forecasts and live traffic updates for the Greater Toronto Area. On-demand business and traffic audio reports are also featured on the Blackberry Bold, and Blackberry Curve 8890.

The 680News Blackberry application can be downloaded for free at www.680news.com/mobile or directly from the mobile browser at www.680news.mobi.

"680News on Blackberry is a natural extension for Toronto's only all news radio station," said Claude Galipeau, Senior Vice President, Digital Media, Rogers Media Inc. "Our aim is to reach audiences wherever they are and with this application, Blackberry users can access the latest breaking news, real time weather, our 5-day forecasts and instant access to hundreds of Ontario Ministry of Transportation and City of Toronto traffic cameras across the major routes in the GTA and the Golden Horseshoe."
