ROLL OUT THE RED CARPET - BILL CONTI BRINGS HOLLYWOOD TO KW!

Kitchener - The 2008/09 Pops Series comes to a glamorous close as Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony (KWS) rolls out the red carpet to welcome Hollywood Walk of Famer, Bill Conti, to direct An Evening at the Movies. The final Pops concert features Conti’s famed scores from Rocky, For Your Eyes Only, Dynasty and other favourites from television and the silver screen. Performance takes place at Centre In The Square (CITS) on May 22 & 23 at 8pm.

Oscar and five-time Emmy Award winning, Bill Conti, is one of Hollywood’s most respected composers and conductors for film and television. He earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1989 and his compositions have sold more than eight million albums. Conti served as Music Director for the Academy Awards for a record 19 years and was presented with a Golden Soundtrack Award in 1995 in recognition of his lifetime achievement in film and television music.

The best of Conti’s scores are featured at the final concert of the Pops series, An Evening at the Movies; taking the audience on a musical adventure through Tinseltown.
