Dejero Labs wins Top Award for their Elevator Pitch at OCE Discovery’09
Waterloo Dejero Labs, a Waterloo, Ontario based start-up, introduced its plans for the launch of an innovative solution for television broadcasters at Discovery 09 Conference sponsored by the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) Inc. This solution allows the capture of ‘real-time’ video feeds from live news breaking events without the use of traditional satellite or microwave trucks.
Ron Neumann, Chairman of Dejero Labs presented a 3 minute Elevator Pitch to an audience of interested investors at the Metro Convention Centre yesterday. His presentation described the new technology, the company’s history, financial objectives and funding requirements to an audience consisting of investors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, researchers and students. His presentation was acclaimed by the judges as the best presentation of the eleven presentations made at this annual event.
In his presentation, Ron described Dejero Lab’s creation of ‘patent pending technology providing an end-to-end solution for the gathering and distribution of video for utilization by 'real-time' electronic news gathering (ENG). This technology uses existing cellular networks replacing the need for expensive satellite trucks.’
This new solution is planned to be launched in the last half of 2009.
